Listening beyond words - where animals guide humans back to themselves

About - Anna Olivia Braylin
Animals have always been an important part of my life, but it was my spaniel Harvey who truly opened the door to the work I do today.

At a time when I was carrying grief, self-doubt and a deep sense of needing to prove my worth, Harvey simply met me exactly as I was.

He never asked me to change.

Instead, he reflected something back to me that I had forgotten — that I was already enough.

Through him I began to realise how deeply animals observe and respond to the emotional worlds around them.

They notice what we feel, what we carry and sometimes even what we try to hide from ourselves.

That realisation changed everything.
The Work I Do
Today I work with horses, dogs, cats and their humans to explore the deeper layers of communication that exist beyond behaviour alone.

My role is not to train animals or to fix problems.

Instead, I guide people in understanding what may be happening within the relationship between themselves and their animals.

Often animals are responding to emotional or energetic dynamics that have not yet been fully seen or understood.

When those things are brought gently into awareness, something shifts.

Animals relax.
Humans breathe again.
The relationship begins to feel easier and more connected.

Training and Background
My work draws from a range of experiences and training including intuitive communication, canine body language, emotional awareness practices and energy based approaches such as Rahanni.

But at its heart, the work is simple.

It is about learning to listen differently.

Harvey’s Legacy
Harvey may no longer walk beside me physically, but his presence continues to guide this work every day.
Everything I do is rooted in gratitude for what he first showed me:
that when we truly listen to animals, they often guide us back to ourselves.
